My practice centres around landscape painting, where I investigate concepts of stillness, grandeur, sublimity and awe around nature. Personal outdoor experience plays a foundational role in my creating.
 
My work considers the wildly fast pace of contemporary western society and observes how landscapes are perceived within this setting. Through the process of creating landscapes at different levels of speed and detail, I aim to mirror the national issue of hurry, and highlight the importance of stillness and wonder.
